Charisma Cardz - Father's Day Challenge

Good Morning Bloggers,
Today see's a brand new challenge over at Charisma Cardz and this fortnight the challenge is Father's Day.  We want to see all your Father's Day projects.
As usual we have some fab sponsors for you
 Sponsor one:

Sponsor Two:

I have been wanting to try one of the Pop up box cards for a while now so decided to do it with this theme in mind. I went searching through my paper stash looking for some suitable male/father's day papers and came across the Do Crafts Papermania spots and stripes collection pack in Brights. I thought this would be perfect so set about making my box card.

I have made this from a sheet of A4 Anna Marie Designs Pearl 300gsm card so its nice and sturdy. I like to avoid measuring where I can so I just folded my card in half, then in half long ways, opened it out and folded the 2 side peiced in half aswell to create the panals.

I cut down all four lines to the middle to create the flaps of the box and then to seal it I just cut another small stripe of card about an inch wide folded that in half and stuck it on one of the flaps and then brought the other side around to meet it to create the square box shape.

I have used papers from the pack to mat and layer all the panals on the bottom of the box except the back peice as that has a full length peice stuck to it to keep it straight.

I used Cricut cartridge Alphalicious to create the letters, circa designs sentiment stamp and the roesette I just cut a stripe of the paper and scored on my score board every 2 centimetres.

Crafting Musketeer's -- Anything but Square

Good Morning Blog land,
As it is the middle of the month I am here with my very 1st DT card for Crafting Musketeer's. The challenge this month is 'Anything but Square' and it is sponsored by the fab Katy Sue Designs. The prize on offer is this brilliant CD rom

Also over at Musketeer HQ we are celebrating our 1st Birthday.  For our birthday celebration , we will be doing our usual prize for the winner, but also there will be small mystery prizes for the top 3. Plus the top 3 will have the chance to GDT with us alongside the winner. So why not pop on over and check out the fab work by the DT and come and play along with us.

For my card I have used an image from the CD which I own and LOVE, here is what I created.

I love this show design and the blue and red together. I decided to run with these two colours when putting my card together as you can see below

I have used some Ivory centura pearl card stock from Crafters Companion as my card base. I used a stencil I have had for years (cant remember where its from) to create the card shape by drawing around the stencil. I have used Co'ordinations and embossed with the 'knit one pearl one' die'sire embossing folder and then sanded it back to create my red mat.  I used my new 6x6 Scruffy little cat paper pad (Crafters Companion) and found that gorgeous shade of blue textured paper and then I cut the image down and inked around the edges using cut and dry blending foam.

I created the sentiment in DoCrafts digital designer and just printed it out and inked the edges to match the topper. Still just using those 2 colours.  This is very CAS for my usual style but I really wanted to show off the topper so had to 'sit on my hands' to stop myself over embellishing it lol.

Christmas Fun Challenge

Back Again, Busy day for me today for blog posts.
I am here with my Christmas Fun DT hat on this time. The challenge this month over at the Christmas Fun Challenge Blog is All That Glitters OR Anything Goes.

There is a small Blog Candy available each month picked by random org from all entries so pop on over and check out the DT cards and come and play along with us.

Last month when going through the entrants for the challenge blog I came across a blog and the lady had used a Bugaboo digi stamp and I fell in love with it. So off I went on the hunt and I purchased it for myself, I have been dying to have a play about with it so I chosse to do an Anything Goes Christmas Card this month.

Here is what I came up with

I used a Pink Gem Design's backing paper printed onto Anna Marie Design's peraliscant paper, I mounted that onto some blue mirrir card. The digi stamp is colour in with Sakura Aquarell water colour pencils.

This is the stamp, isnt it just so cute. I know I will be using it alot for my Christmas cards this year
I cut the large snowflake on my Silhuette and the smaller ones are an xcut punch.

Seemacrafts May Challenge

Good Morning again everyone,
I am back to share with you another DT card, this time it is for Seemacrafts challenge blog. This month the challenge is Butterflies and Rainbows.
As you may know Seema now creates her own digi elements including backing papers and stamps. You can see them HERE.  The winner of this month's challenge will receive 4 digi's of your choice.
I have used a backing paper and a digi this month from Seema's collection

The butterfly backing printed out beautifully onto some Anna Marie Designs pearl paper. You cant see in the picture but there is a gorgeous pearl finish. The embossed butterfly card I have inked over the top and it is from the Crafter's Companion Party Paws card pack.
The stitched 'pocket' is from the Do Crafts Boofle Cd Rom. The twine is also Do Crafts.

I have coloured Seema's digi with my Sakura Aquarell water colour penicls. Isnt this such a sweet image i love it.
Now this little guy is also one of Seema's crouchet butterflies.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you come and join in over at the challenge blog

Charisma Cardz - Mother's Day Challenge

Happy 1st May folks,
This morning I am here to share with you a DT card I have made for the Charisma Cardz challenge blog.
This fortnight it is Team A's turn to showcase and the theme is Mother's Day.

As always we have some great sponsors for you
Sponsor One:

www.bugaboostamps.com

Sponsor Two:
http://www.digistampboutique.co.uk/catalog/

I have used a digi image from Bugaboo on my card but as It has already been Mother's Day here in the UK I have not added a sentiment to my card so that It can be used for a number of different occasions (just highlights how versatile the images are)
Here is what I came up with

I coloured the image using my Sakura Aquarell water colour pencils

The backing paper is from Crafter's Companion Frou Frou paper collection, these paper are gorgeous to work with. I have added some red spotty washi tape and some bling to the bottom of the card and then punched the bottom edge with the scalloped edge xcut border punch.

I have added a pearly brad to a red pull bow and attached this in the top right hand corner. I thought this added to the glam of the image and the backing paper.

Crafty Ribbons challenge - AG
