New baby card 'Twins'

Good Afternoon blog land,
Well as promised earlier I am back to share with you a card I have just made for a friend who had twins on Friday. She had a girl and a boy so I decided to make a double gate fold card so I caould do it 1/2 blue and 1/2 pink.
I used papers from the Forever Friends 'New Beginning' range. I also used the spots and dots embossing folder then just lightly rubbed some ink over the top, I used Centura pearel card for this.
The tags I printed off from the Boofle cd rom using my Docrafts digital designer so that I could add in the baby's details.

I have used both Pink Gem baby papers and digi images for the inside of my card as I wanted to make the prams 'pop out' when you opened the card.

I wanted this to be more than just another New Baby card I wanted it to be more of a keepsake. I hope I have achieved this.

I am entering this into the following challenges:
ABC Challenges - No Flowers
Tammy's scrapping corner - anything goes
613 Avenue Create - anything goes
Challenges 4 Everybody - always anything goes

Thanks for stopping by

Another Fancy Bookatrix

Good Morning Bloggers,
Well after my posting of the Wedding card last week I got another commissioned order for a similiar card.
All she said was that she wanted the fancy bookatrix and it had to be pretty and have 'Lovely Marg' on the front.
Here is what I came up with

I used Centura pearl card for the base and the 'white' layers of the bookatrix, The topper is a Kanban topper and I have used my Kars wooden letters and just lightly inked over the top sothey match. I have also used some of my handmade roses.
I did the inside to match the book for added affect

Quick post today as I am off to check out my fellow bloggers and catch up on my DT commenting
Have a lovely day whatever your up to

Wedding Card

Afternoon Everyone,
I was asked by a customer to make a Wedding Card but they had no specifics other than they wanted it to be a large card. So I was a bit stuck for ideas so for some inspiration I went over to the Mad Crafters Giggles group on Facebook. I found the Tic Tac Toe challenge and decided to pick my colours and embelishments from their so it would fit the challenge.

I chose Animal off the top row, Silver off the 2nd row and ribbon from the 3rd row.

I used my Glitter Girls board to create the fancy bookatrix and I found the Lily of the Valley topper in my stash. The wooden emblishments are from Kars. I love how these cards do not need much detail because the 'book' is the main feature.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
Bearly mine challenge - anything goes
Papertake Weekly - Ocassion ally
Make it Monday - always anything goes
The Crazy Challenge - anything goes

Handmade Roses

Evening Blogland,
I have been very busy over the last 2 days doing an overhall of my house with my new steam mop have changed a few peices of furniture around etc so not had much timne for crafting. To be fair though its because I have had no internet access other than my phone since Saturday :( but all up and fixed this afternoon thank goodness. I had a few hours to myself this afternoon and with no internet I decided to make some new Paper Roses as my stash was running a little low.
I love making these roses but i thought for a change I would change the size and make them smaller as sometimes they are just a little bit too big for my projects.

I always cut them out using my Silluette and use just plain white 140 GSM card stock that way I can ink them or colour them in with my speccies or promarkers.

This is to show the size I usually make and how these are slightly smaller.

Once they are made i have lovely jars that I keep them in in their colour families so they also look pretty on my shelf lol

Glamoureyes Digi Image

Happy Saturday folks.

I thought I would share with you the card I made for the DT call over at Glamoureyes. To enter you just message Sarah and she will send you a digi image to work with. The closing date is 08th August, so there is still time to enter.

Here is my entry

1

I have used papers from the 12x12 My Girl paper stack from American crafts. The helklo sentiment is cut out from one of the paper designs from the pack. I have kept this quiet plain for my usual style but I wanted to show off the image rather than have it fading into the background.

I used my nested labels die from Xcut to cut out the digi. The roses are from my stash bought in The Range (i think).

Just For Fun blog launch

Good morning everyone.
I have just popped on to tell you about a great new blog that is launching today. It is called Just For Fun.
It is a new challenge blog with great themes (in my opinion) and the first theme running for the month of August is 'Anything Goes'. I am super proud to be a part of this fab new challenge blog and look forward to seeing all the lovely entries. Please do pop along and have a look around and spread the word as it is a new blog and we need to get it out there into thre land of blog so everyone can join in.
There will be a prize for this month given by the faboulous Elaine who is the owner and creator of Just For Fun. You can see here fab blog HERE

I created a double 12x12 scrapbook layout for this months challenge as it was my daughter's birthday on 24th July and I have set myself a challenge to scrap her birthday photo's before her next birthday, seems like a long way off but believe me it will be a challenge lol.

Here is my entry
I have used papers from the Dovecraft 12x12 Princess Fairytale paper pack ( i LOVE this paper pack)

As you can see I have left the spaces for the photo's to go as I have not had them developed yet, I love the colours in this paper pack and think its girly without being overly pink and frilly as this is SO not my daughter lol

I have added in hidden tags for journalling and added a nice big title to my layout using my cricut cartridge Allphalicious.

Please do pop along and check out the new blog the link is HERE for you again incase you missed it above.
Thanks for looking and please feel free to leave a comment.
Hugs
