Morning all,
I have been so bad with my blog posts lately that I have set myself a challenge to post more. I have been using my FB page to show my work and keep forgetting to post here :( Naughty me lol.
I have a quick card to show this morning, its my Sister's other half's birthday today and I totally foget until my neice remninded me this morning so I dropped the kids off at school and headed home to knock up a quick card for him. He is a big Everton fan so went with that.
I have used Alphalicious cricut cart for the letters and an old stamp I have for the sentiment. The badge and backing paper where both made in My Craft Studio.

Hope you like it

Holy Communion commisioned card

Evening folks,
I was asked to make a Holy Communion card by a friend of mine for her Son for Saturday.  I havent made one before so after a bit of deliberating I decided to make a bookatrix card.

The BP is a digi paper from Pink Petticoat ages ago. The cross is a cutting file on the Silluette and I used my Xcut nesties scalloped square for the sentiment.

I have just used the smaller 'book' for the inside so that it matches the front of the card.
Its very 'simple' layout for me but I am pleased with it. I hope she is too.
Thanks for looking

Couple of commissioned orders

Afternoon everyone, well ive been super busy with things Mother's Day over the last few weeks so I apologise for my lack of posts, I will share my mother's day creations with you later today. But first I wanted to show you what ive been working on this last few days.

This is an A4 gatefold card that I have made for a commissioned order. I am absolutely loving the new Do Crafts Tatty Ted Spring Chic CD Rom. The images and papers are just so cute and I love the sprint/summer colours. They are fab arent they??

I have used a butterfly stencil to create pop-outs for the inside of this card. Im really pleased with how its turned out.

I have also been making some Tea light candle box but with a twist. Instead of the candles I was asked to leave the box empty so that it could be filled with chocolates for Easter. I have been asked to make a box each for a young girl and boy, so here's what I came up with.

Again I have used the new Tatty Ted CD Rom as there is a section not only for Mother's Day but also one dedicated to Easter and some of the images are just so sweet.

Anyway hope you like them and enjoy the rest of your Friday folks.

New baby boy card

Happy St David's Day everyone.
I thought I would share with you this new baby card I have made for a commissioned order.
The lady who has orderd it wanted me to use a picture of the new baby as the focus of the card but also wanted to include some details about the baby. This is what I came up with.

I have created a tag that sits behind the picture and when you pull it out it has the babys name, weight and date of birth on it.

I have used CC centura pearl card as the base and then backing papers from Pink Gem Desgins. The baby in pram is also from Pink Gem Designs. The sentiment is frommy Silluette library.

I hope you like it.

Liebster Blog Award

The lovely Louise over at Lou's card creations has awarded me with this blog award

The idea of the Liebster Blog Award is to spread the love from one small blog (under 200 followers) to other small blogs. This helps to spread knowledge and readership.

To accept the award, you must:
1) Link back to the person who gave it and thank them for thinking of you.
2) Post the award to your blog.
3) Give the award to 5 bloggers (with less than 200 followers) that you appreciate and value.
4) Leave a comment on the blogs of the five people you have chosen to let them know.
"Liebster" in German means "dearest", so to carry on the
Liebster tradition, I am going to pass the award on to 5 people who's blogs have been an inspiration to me and my crafting.

I have decided to pass on this award to the following people (not in any particular order!)
Ladies I love looking through your cards and creations so wanted to pass this onto you guys.
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday

New xcut dies and card

Morning everyone, Just thought id quickly show you a card I made for order earlier this week. I got 4 sets of the xcut nested dies off my sis for Xmas and I havent gotten around to using this petal shape one before and I really like it. Let me know what you think.

I have used pattern papers from the fizzy moon celebration collection 6x6 pack and then just a plain card behind to make the nested shapes. The decoupage is from the me to you cd rom as is the happy birthday sentiment. I have used some letter stickers from my stash for 'wife' and then put some ribbon behind it to make it like a 'banner/ribbon'. I have also added some of me handmade paper roses topped with crafters companion glitter spray.

Here is a close up of the paper roses. I love making these. I make them in white and then use my pro markers and speccies to colour them the exact colours to match my projects.

Thanks for looking.

A5 Tea light candle box card for a man

Happy Sunday folks, its nice and sunny here in Liverpool but still rather chilly im a fraid.
Just thought I would share with you one of my A5 candle box cards that I have made over the weekend for an order, its for a man so slightly harder to do than for a lady but here is what ive come up with.

Sorry for the poor pictures I took the pics last night as it was being picke dup this morning.
I have used part of the Me to you die cuts kit Ive had for a while now as my image for the front and I just matted it onto some card and then cut round it. I have used some letter stickers from my stash thats Ive had for ages now from Papermania. The sentiment is also from the Me to you kit.

I have tried to use just plain coloured card rather than pattern papers with this being for a man.
I have used ribbon from my stash for this and I have used my fav birthday stamp for the sentiment inside.

Any comments are appreciated.

New baby boy card

Evening all, just thought  I would share with you this New baby Boy card I made for an order earlier today.
I have used Crafters Companion Centura pearl card for the card base and the envelopbox to match. A Pink Gems Designs digi stamp 'Baby boy in pram' and the Pink Gem 'Oh Boy' backing papers.

I used the pink gem backing paper on 1 1/2 of the card and just some light blue card from stash on the other 1/2 and covered the join with some fab ribbon that I got on my local market last week for just 20p and there is 5 metres on the roll - talk about a bargain!
I matted the image onto nested shapes cut using Xcut dielicious dies 'ornate frame' the 2 largest sizes, 1 in pale blue card stock and 1 in silver mirri board from C&C.
The little embelishments are from a small craft shop I go to not sure who makes them but they are a daft price of 20p a sheet and you get approx 8 per sheet its fab.

I used another of the 'Oh Boy' papers as an insert for the middle and a verse from my 'words for every occasion' book.

The round 'sentiment' stamp is another digi from Pink Gem desgins and I just love it. I took it into My Craft Studio software and had a play with the colouration and manage to get it to turn blue (it is white to start with).

These fab little hand buttons where also a mega bargain and are from £1land and you get 4 different colours in each pack and there are approx 8 of each colour.

I hope you like it and some feedback would be greatly appreciated.

1st Birthday card for a boy

Evening everyone, Dont post for weeks and now I have 2 in one day lol.
I have been asked for a 1st Birthday card for a boy so wanted to make something a bit special. I decided that I wanted to make a ribbon rosette.
I used my Xcut nested circles and cut the 2 largest circles out in blue and yellow card stock I then used my Cricut cartridge 'Mathea Stewarts birthday cake art' to cut a 4 1/2 inch scalloped circle out for the other 2 to nest into. I used Pink Gems 'Oh Boy' baby decoupage sheet and cut out the lil boy to sit inside my circles.
To create the ribbon rosette I cut up peices of ribbon approx 7cm in length and started attaching them to the back of the scalloped circle. I then cut to longer peices to make the ribbons at the bottom. I stuck this altogether to get the desgin featured. I am really pleased with it.
I also used backing papers from Pink Gems Desgins. I used the same cricut cart to cut out the letters and the number 1.
I used Crafters Companion centura pearl A3 card for my card base and the CC enveloplus board to create a matching envelop using the 16x16 specialist card.
Here is a close up of my ribbon rosette.

I hope you like it.

Commission card

Morning everyone, I was asked the other day to make a card for a boy who would be 9. No other info given so I was a lil bit stumped to start with as it couldnt be to cutesy as 9 is a bit to old for small animals and the likes so heres what I came up with instead.
I used my Silluette Studio for the backing paper by creating a large rectangle and filling it with the monster pattern. I then printed this out and was not that keen as there was no black outline around the monsters so I then sat for about 1 hr going around the images with a black fine liner to9 make them stand out a little better.
I also used my Silluette to cut out the monster which I then matted and layered and added some googley eyes for that fun feature.
The number '9' was cut out using Alphalicious cricut cartridge and the happy birthday stamp is just from my stash I have had for years.

This is a close up of my monster, i think he is just so cute.
I also used glossy accents on some of the monsters mouths and eyes on the backing paper for added effect.

I was really pleased withhow this turned out. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Birthday Tea light card

Afternoon all, just wanted to share with you a little something I have made today for my friends birthday.
I must admit I totally forgot it was her birthday today and when I saw her up at the school this morning I felt terrible so I came home and set about making her a Tea light gift card.

I used my Ultimate Pro and boxer board by Crafters Companion to create the card and the box that houses the candles inside. I also used CC spray and shine to cover the roses.

This is the inside of the card, I have made a pull out tag where I have written my greeting. The box itself holds 12 scented candles.

Anniversary exploding box - Popcorn the Bear

Morning everyone, what a windy Sunday here in Liverpool. Billy wind is definatey having some fun out there.
I have been busy this morning making a exploding box for a anniversary for my cousin, they got married the day before Valentines so Ive made it all lovey and cute.
I have used the Popcorn the Bear - Romance Cd rom from Crafters Companion which you can find HERE.
I also used my Ultimate Pro and boxer board to measure out the box and the lid.

I want to enter this into the challenge over at Crafters Companion news Blog where they want to see Valentines day themed cards ( I hope this is ok and its not technically a card) using some of their products.

These are both outside shots of the box, you can see I printed out some ribbon borders from the Cd rom and have stuck them around the lid. I have some some toppers to also decorate the outside and some candy from my stash.

This is a shot of the box once the lid has been removed

These are both just to show the different ways I have decorated the inside panels (my apologies for the pictures being upside down dont know why they are showing like taht as they are the right way up when I uploaded them)

Close up of the smallest layer. I have used more toppers from the cd rom here and also some paper roses I already had made in my stash. I also coloured some peel off stickers to make them red to fit in with the box.

(again apologise for the upside picture not sure how to turn it around)

I have used some decoupage on the last 2 panels from the cd rom on the 'mid size' print so that it fits nicely onto the 9cm squared panel.

I hope you like it am sure my cousin will love it, just a bit different than a card.

Card for order

Happy Tuesday folks. I thought I would share with you a card I made yesterday for a commsisioned order.
The request was a cute card for an 80th in pink and purple. With that in mind I set about looking through my cds and digi to find just the right image, here is what I came up with.

I used an image from Country Companions disc, i chose this as the flowers are both pink and purple. I created the sentiment using My Craft Studio, the number are cut from Alphalicious cricut cart. The butterflies is a 3d punch that I cut out so the butterfly was stand alone. The roses I made following a tutorial made by Stephenie Weightman and I had these already made in my stash.
The card itself is A4 on the back layer but the front is cut smaller to 8in, the border munch is by MS and the ribbon was in my stash. The Bp is afrom Dovecraft's back to basics 8x8 pad.
I have sprayed the whole thing with crafters companion glitter spray but the pic hasnt picked that up very well.

I would like to enter this into the challnge over at Papertake Weekly for their challenge of Buttons, bows, bling and blooms.
I hope you like it, any feedback would be greatly appreciated as always

Hello 2012, ive been a bit absent lately

Morning everyone, i have been a very poor blogger of late as I got snowed under with all my xmas Tea light orders that I just never got around to blogging any of my pictures or cards. I am all caught up now so thought I would show you a few of the cards I have made for orders over the past few weeks.

I was asked to commission a card for a friends little boy who was 5 on Xmas day. He loves Superman and Spiderman so I made these 2 cards. I apologise the pictures arent great as I took them at night.
The Superman badge is a google image that I resized in my craft studio and printed out a number of times ( it was a black and white image) I coloured it in using my promarkers and decoupaged the image. I used cricut cart Alphalicious for the number and the words, and my craft studio for the sentiment.

I used make the cut with my cricut to cut out the 'web'. The spiderman image is just from google and resized etc in my craft studio. I used my cricut cart alphalicious to cut the '5' and the 'brother'.

I was also asked for a cute ladies card for an 80th birthday and this is what I came up with, it needed to be quick as the lady only ordered it the day before she needed it so I used my A4 card kit from the Me to You collection to make the above card. I used letter stickers and flowers from my stash to add the extra detail, and the alphalicious cart for the numbers.

I get asked alot to make these types of cards for men usually and I do enjoy making them. One of my regular customers asked me for 2 Everton cards as you can see but because they where for the same customer I tried to make them slightly different whilst sticking to the same theme.
I used a google image in my craft studio and printed it out several times so I could decoupage the image. I used my craft studio again for the sentiments and then (am sure you can guess whats coming next lol)  I used my cricut cart Alphalicious for the number and word. I also created the backing paper for the insides using my craft studio and tiled the image.

Thanks for looking if you got this far, any feedback is always greatly received.
